Bryan Mayou is recognised by all the major insurance companies for plastic and reconstructive surgery.

It is often convenient for patients to have plastic surgery carried out under the same anaesthetic as other surgical procedures are carried out by Gynaecologists, general and orthopaedic surgeons. Bryan Mayou uses the superb inpatient facilities within the Lister Hospital and the Cromwell Hospital.

His regular anaesthetist at the Lister Hospital is Dr Mark Harris and at the Cromwell Hospital, Dr Charles Gillbe. The anaesthetists have consultant appointments at various London Hospitals.

Mr Mayou has a dedicated team of specialists plastic surgery nurses.

The office staff include the Practice Secretaries Andrea Skinner and Jayne Woodley.

Beauticians Rita Roberts and Lady Mimi Adamson also work alongside the team.

Bryan Mayou's team is committed and caring, sharing the same philosophy.

Plastic Surgery is not magic, it is real surgery. While a great deal can frequently be accomplished the patient and surgical team must understand each other to develop an effective surgical plan in order to carry out the patient's wishes. They will work together before, during and after surgery to achieve the best possible outcome with the greatest safety.

Patients must understand the limitations of what is possible and collaborate to follow the surgical plan through to completion. None of us wants an unhappy patient or an imperfect surgical result. We all want things to be "just right" every time but that would not be surgery, that would be magic. Nature takes over once the operation is finished and healing begins.
